Welcome to the first annual Christian Hip Hop Now Award. We are announcing our top ten artists on the rise on our site.
This artist made the cut for first team CHHNOW.com
Next week we will revile our second team ALL-CHHNOW.com
Torrance Rudd had a really big year in 2020 with the release of his second album “Religion Almost Killed Me” Worship Mode rapper/singer/producer did not stop there hitting the CHHNOW.com top ten list numerous times with his title album track “Religion Almost Killed Me” and his highly-rated song on 44 Radio “Juice” Featuring Uncle Reece.
An album release concert with more singles had Torrance Rudd on a high note ending 2020 coming into the new year. What to expect from Torrance Rudd more work more music building momentum in 2021.
Issac Mather is one of CHHNOW.com breakout artists to look out for this year because he is just so talented not only as a rapper but also a producer as well. With his breakout single “Need Your Love” and his other single “Airplane Mode” the world got a test of how talented Issac Mather is. Issac also helped produced Justin Binnicker’s album “Past Present & Future” as executive producer co-producing the whole project.
Issac close out the year with a holiday single a cover of “Winter Wonderland” Issac has been making moves in 2020. What next for 2021 probably more work and a bigger platform for Issac Mather
Shon Tha Phenom
Shon Tha Phenom is a talented artist who has been on CHHNOW.com radar for some time now but made waves with his “Still Loading’ record that made the top ten on the CHHNOW.com charts featuring Rapzilla.com Freshman Torey D’shaun for many weeks.
Other than the single it was a quiet year for Shon Tha Phenom but what makes Shon stand out on our All-CHHNOW first-team list is his potential PERIOD. He has one of the most polished sounds for a CHH artist and cares more about the quality of his work than the quantity just looks at his IG page he has great photos and his music always sounds great.
I expect a big year of Shon Tha Phenom in 2021
Samuel Lee Blue
Little boy blue Samuel Lee is talented and I’m just not saying that because I think so I know so. Sam is probably one of the most consistent artists on this list because of the quality of the music we received from Sam but the work he puts into his music. Every song has a well-produced music video releasing alongside it.
We see Sam Lee Blue collaborating with up-and-coming CHH artists in the community such as K-See in his newest single “The New Year” and also was one of the finalists for Lecrae’s “Set Me Free Challenge” where he made the final cut of the video and Lecrae was impressed with his talent. With songs like “Choose Life” “Come Up” with his Instagram Webosodes Living Room Sessions and many more Sam Lee Blue in 2021 letting you know who is the true Little Boy Blue.
OA is probably a name you are not familiar with but if you ever listing to Review Fridays on 44 Radio OA was a mainstay dropping music every week it seems like and with highly-ranking song topping the CHHNOW.com charts OA is a name you need to understand that this man is a problem. Releasing his first album “The Vision” this year with a heavy dose of single releases.
