Exclusive All Of The Rappers Getting a Dove Award Nomination

Founded in 1964, the Gospel Music Association (GMA) serves as the face and voice for the gospel/Christian music community. It is dedicated to exposing, promoting, and celebrating the Gospel through music, arts, and entertainment. For 51 years now, the GMA Dove Awards have honored and celebrated the outstanding achievements and excellence in Christian and Gospel music. The Awards celebrate individuals/groups that make impressive music across all genres like; Rap/Hip Hop, Pop/Contemporary, Country, Worship, and more.

Happening for the 52nd time on 19th October 2021 in Nashville, rap/Hip Hop artists Lecrae, KB, Social Club Misfits, Zauntee, and Ty Brasel have been nominated to contend for the Rap/Hip Hop Album of the year. As this year’s theme stands for “Stronger Together,” almost all these talented rappers have worked together on a couple of tracks on their nominated albums. Ty Brasel, nominated for his “The Divine Storm” album, featured on Social Club Misfits’ “Feared by Hell” and Lecrae’s “Restoration” album. Same way, KB, who was nominated for his “His Glory Alone” album, featured on “The Power +,” one of Ty Brasel’s songs on his selected album. This clearly shows the kind of spirit depicted in the GMA Dove Awards, and we can hope that the best album will take this one home.

Other artists that stood out in 52nd Dove Awards include; Steven Furtick, who got a total of 10 nods, Chris Brown (member of Elevation worship) with nine nods, Wayne Haun, for KING & COUNTRY, CeCe Winans, Ed Cash, Williams, Tiffany Hammer, Brandon Lake, and Elevation Worship.
